2025 is a huge year for TV — but which programs do we certainly know are coming back for extra seasons?

Apple TV+ startled audiences by reviving Bad Monkey after the conclusion left the show’s future unknown. When Carl Hiaasen's book became his film about detective Andrew Yancy (Vince Vaughn) Bad Monkey started.

While Bad Monkey had tied up every plot arc, there was still hope. Natalie Martinez, who portrays Rosa a.k.a Yancy’s love interest, exclusively told Us Weekly in October 2024 that “the possibilities are endless” before addressing the main couple’s devastating onscreen divorce.

“There’s a lot of love between Rosa and Yancy. He’s helped her in so many ways and there’s obviously this beautiful connection there,” she shared. “They’re very fond of each other and at that moment he says, ‘It’s not a goodbye, it’s a see you later.’ So I think the possibilities are kind of unlimited there — where they’re a part of each other’s key moment.”

Rivals on Hulu is another program that will have extra time to develop the tale. Season 1 established a battle between two men battling for control of a television station in 1980s Britain, but it was ultimately the age gap romance between Rupert (Alex Hassell) and Taggie (Bella MacLean) — and Declan’s (Aidan Turner) presence — that won people over.

“I’m really intrigued. There’s so many roadblocks in our path and Rupert is terribly divided ethically. I worry what will happen now with Taggie,” MacLean exclusively told Us in December 2024 about Rupert and Taggie’s future. “It will be a lot bumpier, but what that means for Taggie is a really interesting thing. There’s tons of ideas being batted around. We’ve got to get season 2 fast.”
