Jonathan Scott Jokes Hes Sick and Tired of Myself
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Jonathan Scott acknowledged that he and Zooey Deschanel still need to "figure it out," but he was glad to address questions about their upcoming wedding.
Jonathan, 46, stated, "I'm actually tired and tired of myself not figuring it out yet," as he promoted Don't Hate Your House with the Property Brothers, his new program with sibling Drew Scott. "No progress has been made. Simply put, we have been having a great time.
The 46-year-old Drew said that "people need to know" when the wedding will happen.
"His schedule is linked to mine," Drew said. "I am unable to organize trips. Nothing can be done by me.
Even his wife, Linda Phan, advised Drew not to inquire about the wedding date with his twin.
Not this August, but [the] August before, we became engaged. Regarding the wedding, Jonathan remarked, "We thought maybe it would be this year or something." But Drew texted me first, saying, "Well, this isn't convenient for me, so I'm going to need to get the dates."
What he and 44-year-old Deschanel desire from a wedding hasn't altered at all, despite the absence of arrangements.
When it comes to the guest list, Jonathan told Us in June that their "goal is to keep it intimate." He stated at the time that "a kickass party with the people we love" is the "main thing" they are searching for.
Jonathan said, "We'll take care of the ceremony and the pomp and circumstance first, and then the reception." "It will be an incredible experience."
Additionally, he had a suspicion that the new titles of husband and wife would have no effect whatsoever on their relationship.
Jonathan remarked, "I already play that role."
After filming a Carpool Karaoke episode together in 2019, he first became friends with Deschanel. Things became amorous once Jonathan learned that the actress had broken up with her ex-husband, Jacob Pechenik. After almost four years, Deschanel and Pechenik's marriage ended in 2020. Elsie Otter, age 8, and Charlie Wolf, age 6, are their shared children.
Jonathan was able to collaborate with his brother Drew on their new HGTV program, Don't Hate Your House With the Property Brothers, because he hasn't been thinking about wedding plans much lately.

Speaking on the episode, Jonathan stated, "I think we showcased real stories and if anyone's done a renovation recently, they can appreciate when you come across a hidden problem and it's a huge expense." "We found a $50,000 hidden issue in one of the houses, which is devastating news to hear, especially when your budget is already at its maximum."
For this concert, the pair had one particular wish.
Jonathan stated, "We wanted to help people love their homes." "You see the raw side of people going crazy and losing their minds, but you also see these gorgeous renovations in the end, and your home should work hard for you to make life easier."
On Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET, HGTV broadcasts Don't Hate Your House With the Property Brothers.
