Dakota Fanning Looks Delicate In A Whimsical White Dress At 'Ripley'
Dakota Fanning seemed otherworldly at the Ripley premiere in L.A.
The 30-year-old actress walked the red carpet on Wednesday, April 3, wearing a lovely white Fendi gown. The dress debuted on the spring/summer couture catwalk, with an undetectable bodice behind an asymmetrical one-shoulder design that descends into billowing tier fabric.
As Fanning snapped shots, the pleats moved in various ways.
Fanning, who was dressed by Samantha McMille, kept her outfit simple, focusing on the garment. She wore mild glam, with pink cheeks, and her beautiful blonde hair was straight and parted down the center.
Ripley is a remake of the 1999 film The Talented Mr. Ripley, starring Matt Damon as Tom Ripley, Jude Law as Dickie Greenleaf, and Gwyneth Paltrow as Marge Sherwood.
In the 2024 edition, which is a series rather than a film, Andrew Scott plays Tom, a low-rent con artist in New York who is recruited to persuade a rich man's heir to leave Italy and return home. Fanning plays Paltrow's Marge, the girlfriend of heir Dickie Greenleaf (now portrayed by Johnny Flynn).
Fanning enthused about working with Scott, 47, telling ET at the screening, "We are so happy that we are real-life friends and get along great. I believe we have extremely similar working styles, and I couldn't have asked for a better individual to work with. And he's completely different from his role, thank god."
Prior to the Wednesday screening, Fanning wore white on two previous times while conducting publicity for the series in New York.
On March 26, she looked stunning in a silk wrap dress and gold sandal shoes. Later that day, she reappeared in a flattering linen ensemble.
