Brandi Glanville Says Shes Trying Cure Herself of Face Parasites

Brandi Glanville claimed that parasites had been the source of her latest health condition.

“Honestly, I have so many doctors and I’ve had so many tests … I did lab work for $10,000,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 52, said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight published on Tuesday, December 10. “I ran every test under the sun.… They’re like, ‘It may be a parasite.’ That’s, you know, new.”

Glanville added that before a doctor believed she maybe got a parasite, she suffered “swelling” and was “unable to speak.” When she sought out therapy, some medical specialists suggested the issue may have been related to previous facial fillers that were dissolving. However, Glanville added that she hadn’t gotten any fillers done in a while and the former had already dissolved.

“I’ve been on meds this whole year. I don’t socialize,” she said to the outlet. “I don’t go out and I’m just spending all of my money on trying to figure out what’s wrong with me.”

Glanville claimed that she’s already spent roughly “$70,000” on attempting to solve the situation. She noted the financial situation has been “stressful” as she’s been unable to work for the past two years owing to her persistent health concerns.

While Glanville doesn’t quite know how she caught a parasite, she suspects it could have happened while she was in Morocco filming The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. (Glanville was accused of sexually abusing Caroline Manzo while they shot the series in 2023. She has rejected the charges, but the season has yet to air.)

“We had food sitting out for hours on end and some of it was meat. In Morocco,” she claimed to the outlet and explained her symptoms started popping up once she returned home. “Six months after I got back from Morocco, I started having this speaking thing and the swelling up thing, it started in July and we’re still here trying to figure it out.”

According to Glanville, she has a reasonable understanding of where the parasite is residing under her face. While she has not seen the thing with her two eyes, she has seen and felt it move. If Glanville “messes with it” it will hop around to a new spot and will look like “tiny bubbles bursting” on her skin.

In addition to harming her face, Glanville stated that the parasite also creates a lot of fluid that her lymph nodes are unable to properly drain.

When it comes to seeking therapy, Glanville is willing to performing surgery to remove the but her physicians are preferring for non-invasive options first. Glanville acknowledged she was able to obtain brief relief with medications which lasted around “five days.”

“I wanted to quit the medication since it was like $2,000 a week,” she reminisced. “I did it for six weeks and it’s back.”

Earlier this month, Glanville turned to social media to offer an update on her health fight. She shared a photo of her bloated face and explained that doctors suspect it may be caused by a parasite.

“What happened? I wish I knew I’ve been in & out of the hospital this passed sic year 1/2 spent about every money I have trying to figure it out,” she wrote via X on Saturday, December 7. “Some Dr.’s say I have a parasite that jumps around my face. Some think it’s stress-induced edema. I personally say it’s Bravo.”
