Tia Mowry Repurposed Cory Hardricts Wedding Ring
After divorcing Cory Hardrict, Tia Mowry discovered a useful purpose for her wedding band.
When the 46-year-old actress put on the jewelry again on screen during the Friday, October 11 episode of her show, Tia Mowry: My Next Act, she broke down.
"It doesn't feel right to sell my wedding band because I haven't worn it in two years. However, I would like to transform my wedding band into a gift for my children. They have been my greatest gift, so pass it on," Mowry added, pausing to cry. Since I haven't worn it, I do want to do it. All it has done is sit there. It was really lovely. It is put to use if it is transformed into something else.
"This is a symbol of a marriage and it is no longer," Mowry continued, adding that the decision was still "sad." The children should have something, in my opinion.
Mowry went to a jewelry store later in the program, which assisted in evaluating her ring. She considered how this action marked the beginning of a new phase in her life.
"I find it difficult to avoid thinking about Cory when I'm choosing how to use my wedding band again," she said. However, I'm coming to realize that I must ultimately decide for myself. I believe everything will be alright because it will be for the children.
Mowry decided to construct a bracelet for her 6-year-old daughter Cairo and a chain for her 13-year-old son Cree.
"I just think it's so beautiful to give your children something that was given to you out of love," Mowry added. It gives me the impression that my marriage was worthwhile. I made the correct decision.
In October 2022, Mowry stated that she and 44-year-old Hardrict had made the decision to split up. In April 2023, their divorce was formalized.
“Today is no exception to my history of being truthful with my fans. At the time, she posted on Instagram, "I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways." These choices are seldom simple or devoid of sorrow. As we co-parent our lovely children, our friendship will endure. As we begin this new chapter in our life, I want to express my gratitude for all of the wonderful times we shared and to my friends, family, and fans for their love and support.
After eight years together, the ex-couple exchanged vows in 2008. Later, they added a daughter, Cairo, in 2018 and a son, Cree, in 2011.
Mowry has talked candidly about how she and Hardrict have made coparenting a top priority since their breakup.

"I speak with Cory every day. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly in November 2022, she stated, "We tell each other that we love each other every single day." "He is and will always be a member of our family and a part of our lives."
Mowry has also made use of her position to draw attention to the difficulties of going through a divorce in the public glare.
"It seems like a crazy quest to get over a divorce. Through the process, I discovered that divorce isn't a destination; rather, it's the start of a new chapter in life with numerous complexities and no one-size-fits-all manual," she stated in an April Instagram video. "You feel relieved and like you've overcome a big obstacle one moment, and then emotions come flooding back."
The actress considered the "side of divorce that isn't often discussed" when children are involved in the social media post.
You try to set an example for them by teaching them self-care and resilience. You experiment with various methods to calm and let go of pent-up emotions," she said. "To deal with the breakup and your future goals, try exercising, journaling, meditation, and getting therapy."
"Someday I believe I'll be able to look back on this time with nothing but warmth and gratitude for the beautiful children brought into my life and the stronger version of myself that emerged from the experience," Mowry said, breaking down in tears as she talked about her personal struggles.
